Syllabus
Spelling
Every Monday students will write all words 5x each and dictation sentences 3x each. Tuesday write sentences for half of the words. Wednesday write sentences for the other half of words. Thursday Pretest. Spelling Tests on Friday if you didn't make a 90 or better on pretest.
Science/SS
Unit tests given after completion of the unit. Every Friday we are going to be doing a Science Lab. Each teacher will plan a lesson and a hands on lab. Then each week the students will visit the other classroom and see the other lessons. Between now and Christmas we will be talking about Plants. After Christmas until the end of the year we will study Animals.
Reading
We will work in Reading groups. Some groups will have projects to do.
Math
Students will be introduced to various mathematical concepts.
English
Students will learn the parts of speech, nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc. They will learn to write in complete sentences. Grasp knowledge of of what punctuation belongs at the end of the sentence and start all sentences with a capital letter.
Phonics
Students will become aware of letter sounds. Along with ending and beginning sounds.
