Philosophy

Teaching is a wonderful career.  I have always wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember.  The one thing that is most important about being a teacher is to love the kids.  Children mean so much to me and so does their education.  It is so wonderful to be helping a student and see the expression on their face when they finally get what you are trying to tell them.

It is very important to be flexible and patient also.  Sometimes the patience in teacher runs thin, especially when everything you have planned for the day has to change because of unexpected assembly or meeting.  It is on those days you really find out if you are cut out to be a teacher.

Another thing that I find important is to make sure the kids feel safe.  In this world that we live in there is so much hate and violence it is refreshing to come to a place where kids can laugh, have fun, and learn.  I do my best to create such an environment.

I love to teach.  There is nothing in the world I would want to do more than teach young boys and girls.
