Music Overview for Grades 1-5 at Wedgeworth
In our music program we strive to foster
a love and appreciation for music. We do this by exposing the children to a
variety of musical styles and forms. Children also learn the basics of music
theory. Our students sing, play instruments and dance. We also reinforce what
they learn in the classroom though movement and song.
Above and below are xylophones. We received a grant to purchase xylophones and other instruments like the ones shown here so the students can play them in class.
All students in the third, fourth, and fifth grade play recorders like the one below.
